March 27
International Scribble Day
A fun observance on March 27 celebrating creativity through scribbling to promote kindness, acceptance, and self-expression regardless of artistic ability.
Diane Alber
Individual Initiative
Children's book author Diane Alber founded International Scribble Day in 2019, inspired by a scribble display at North Side School in Williston Park, New York, and the positive response to her book I'm NOT Just a Scribble. The Registrar at National Day Calendar proclaimed it to be observed annually on March 27.
