Make a difference this World Alzheimer's Month - spread awareness, donate to research and support those affected by the disease.
September marks the start of World Alzheimer's Month, an entire month dedicated to raising awareness and celebrating those living with Alzheimer's Disease. This special time was first established in 2012 by Alzheimer’s Disease International and has since grown into a beloved annual tradition. During this month, we celebrate the lives of those touched by Alzheimer’s, their families and caregivers, as well as all the organizations that work tirelessly to support them. Let's join forces together and show our commitment to finding a cure for this debilitating condition!
Plan a charity event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research. Set up donation tables, sell merchandise, and host activities such as raffles or silent auctions.
Volunteer at a local care facility to help people with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. You can help out with activities, provide comfort and companionship, or offer emotional support.
Spread the word about World Alzheimer’s Month by creating a Facebook or Twitter page to share information about Alzheimer’s and events supporting the cause.
Take the time to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease by reading books, attending seminars, or watching documentaries. The more you know, the more you can help.
Make a memory book in honor of World Alzheimer’s Month. Fill it with photos, stories, and messages of love to remember those affected by this disease.
World Alzheimer's Month is a great way to spread public awareness about this disease and its impact on individuals and families. By raising awareness, we are helping to reduce the stigma associated with Alzheimer's, as well as providing resources for those affected by the condition.
World Alzheimer’s Month helps to increase funding for research into finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. With more money going towards research, we can make progress in understanding the complex disorder and develop better treatments for it.
World Alzheimer’s Month encourages people around the world to take action to help those living with the condition. This includes taking part in fundraising events and campaigns, donating to charities that support carers/sufferers of dementia, or just showing compassion and understanding towards others affected by the disorder.
