Get ready to join in on the global celebration of World Tsunami Awareness Day on Nov. 5! This special day was created by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 as a way to promote public education and awareness about how to prepare for and protect against tsunamis. It's also an opportunity for people around the world to come together and share their knowledge, experiences, stories, artwork and more related to tsunami safety.
