Show your appreciation for custodians on National Custodian Day! Give a card, gift, or kind word of thanks to those who help keep our schools clean.
Celebrate National Custodian Day on Oct. 2 with a special thank you to all of the hardworking custodians out there! This day was created in 1985 as a way to recognize and appreciate the countless hours custodians put in every day to ensure that schools, offices, and other public places are clean and safe for everyone. So be sure to show your appreciation this year by giving your favorite custodian an extra smile or “thank you”!
Take the time to write a heartfelt thank you card for your custodial staff. Show them how much their hard work and dedication is appreciated.
Bring your custodial staff together with a potluck lunch or dinner. Ask everyone to bring something to share and enjoy an afternoon of food and fellowship.
Create some special badges that say “Thank You Custodian” and distribute them to your custodial staff on National Custodian Day. Encourage everyone to wear them proudly.
Organise a small party for your custodians and treat them to cake, snacks, and drinks. Give small tokens of appreciation as part of the celebration.
Recognise outstanding custodians by giving out awards such as “Best Cleaner” or “Most Innovative Custodian”.
Custodians are essential for maintaining the hygiene and safety of any public or private facility. They work hard to keep places like schools, hospitals, and offices spick-and-span so that everyone who visits can enjoy a comfortable, healthy environment.
Custodians play an important role in keeping facilities free of dirt, debris, and germs. This helps to reduce the spread of bacteria and viruses that could otherwise cause illnesses among staff and guests.
Custodians are also responsible for taking care of facility property. By doing regular cleaning and maintenance tasks, custodians can help extend the life of furniture, appliances, and other items which saves money in the long run!
